Great captures Barry, nice and sharp. I love the novel wing you captured on no 29, does it flip the other way for left handers?

Glen, the funny thing is he drove like this for 3 laps and didn't get black flagged.

As already noted, nice sharp photos Barry. Make sure you pop in to the U-Drive Race Cars shed... :)

Nice sharp shots, and great color.

The first is good with the next car entering the apex right behind him.

The second is a good capture of "the moment" with the driver going "off" in the background

The third one I'd be tempted to clone out the wheel of the other car coming in the background... Might need a slightly slower shutter too to get some wheel blur/rotation (says he who has never taken any shots of motor racing )

Thanks Mudder.

These shots where taken on one of the slow corners of the track, so action was not that high speed.

I was also playing around with shutter speed to maximise dof. With the 80-400VR I find the trade-off between shutter speed and dof is very sensitive. I've taken shots where I have had the front of the car in focus and the back of the car is out of focus. I also try to always use ISO200 to keep the noise to a minimum.
