Sigma Images....

Just a few images from my new Sigma 120 -300 F/2.8 lens.

It's big, it's fast and it's sharp. All in all I'm very happy.

The bike pics were taken late afternoon, so the setting sun was reflecting off everything, hense the bright reflections. I couldn't do anything about them.

The lens is a heavy sucker (2.6 kg) but can be handheld or monopod mounted.

The pics seem nice and sharp. These are amount the better ones as I'm still learning how best to physically handle the lens. Something I have noticed is that at 300mm you really need as monopod or a steady stance, trying to take images in the wind was a pain in the ass.

You can make your own decisions about the quality of my pics, but I think this lens is a winner! :D :D

And a little blue car:

Any comments and criticism welcome!

I clicked on the thread expecting to see a couple of example of some early 1980's Mitsubishi Motors engineering :)

If the sharpness of these images are anything to go by, it looks like the Sigma is up to it.

Like you say, shame about the bright reflections - it seems to have claimed a bit of detail in areas like the brake rotors. Otherwise these are good :D

Thanks for comments. I'm hoping to get to Oran Park on Sunday to give it a bit more testing. It seems like a good lens though. Very happy!

Looks to be as good as the 70-200 2.8hsm and that is a magic lens...
