taken backstage at Lacoste Spring Summer Collections launch a couple of weeks ago

28-70 f2.8 sb800 on sc29
this particular one is slightly overexposed to give those smoother skin tones and it's actually a reflection from a mirror hence it's slight blur

modern outfit but it reminded me of something from biblical times, the light was just perfect with some clothes hanging off a rail as the backdrop

The second one has something intruiging about the face. Kind of mona lisa-esque. As usual you have submitted stunning work.

agreed, well done wendell, all good, not much critique here. Like the way the 8? bladed diaphram helps to make the bokeh round in no2

Nice work, just a quick question what kind of diffuser did you use on the end of the Sb-800? The stock one or a lightsphere or something completely different? I like the way it's spread the light.

on the first on the light is diffussed because it's bounce flash off a white wall just adjacent to the mirror, difussed light is hitting model in 1st portrait straight on no shadows under the nose etc, its also overexposed and has aslight blur from low shutterspeed that adds to the difussed light look

all of these are taken with a naked flash
onthe 2nd one you can se the shadows are quite defined

if i did use a difusser it would be this one

not as fancy as the lightsphere but it does the job
