While the Sydney proceedings were underway on the AW, a couple of the Canberra members met up for a nano-AW meet in the Parliamentary triangle area.

Here's a few of National Science and Technology Centre, aka Questacon. all taken with the D2h and 18-70DX.

Interesting stuff. The sky contrasts nicely. However there's no way I'm counting those squares!

These make interesting asbstracts/architecture shots. Nice contrast and patterns. Would be good in this month's ES.

I like this series. #2 and #3 have the sky a tad too dark for my taste. It would be nice in #3 not to have the satellite dish in there.

I like this series of images, but like André, think the sky is a little overpolarised in #2 and #3.

Of these #1 has the most appeal to me, but all are good.

Typically I would call these "over polarised" too

These were from my kenko polariser which does have a tendency to really heavily polarise the sky - a deliberate effect for a bit of a bold look. The kenko could best be described as "special" (though still not as unpredictable as my US $12 quantaray linear polariser... that's a whole other category of special)
