is hard, but if you stick at it long enough, you can teach your native bees to sit :)

LOOOOL :lol: Nice capture.

Haha I had to stare at it for a while to convince myself its a bee. This is such a different bee pose compared to others.

I know :( :cry: , but it wasn't ..... all it got was unsharp mask, and curves adjustment... I was sitting really close to the hive entrance, and was only a little bit above the platform table that the hive sits on ... actually I think I was resting the lens on the table :? - I think that the angle (or lack of) was how that dof looks sooooo shallow ..... it was shot with the 105 at 7.1, 1/500th second, and SB800 with beer cup. If you like I can post the NEF file?

This is an example of the other shots - I got the same effect and similar angle..... again, curves and unsharp mask...

A terrific image Rel, sharp and beautifully composed. A really top beahvioural study :) A really poignant shot illustrating the never ending hard work that females have to endure :lol:
