Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Paid Wedding.
I have got to say I was quite apprehensive about this as I guess you only get one shot at it. As it turned out the Bride and Groom are rapt with the results so I can breathe again

Here are a few from the day.

Nice images, I like #3, find #1 a bit shiny. Dont you just love the rush you get after completing a shoot and then the clients loving the images.

Sure was good. I met with them this evening and the look on their faces said it all. Was very satisfying to know how they felt.

Haven't had time to do much PP'ing other than a quick B&W conversion on a few images. Still quite a bit of work to do but it's all good fun :D

Well done Mark!

I like all of them, but as others have said #3 is my pick. These all look shot in a studio environment, is that how all the shots played out? I would love to see some non studio shots if you got them.

Happy couple = happy photographer and exceeding expectations is the best way to achieve that. No stopping you now :)

Cheers,
Craig

Nice shots Mark. #2 & #3 are my picks. #1 is a nicely composed shot of the couple - as said just needs a slight tuoch up. Cheers, Mick :)

Well done! They are all very good, but because of the angles the third is my favourite.

Thanks for the positive comments folks. :D

Craig, not in a studio. Outdoors but I used my Sigma 180 from a distance with my assistant (wife) holding the 2nd flash (SB600) with Lightsphere about a metre from the couple. I used manual settings to underexpose the background to take it out of play. The B&W treatment enhances the effect.

Here is a group shot with more conventional lighting. This one was taken with the kit lens, SB800 in command mode on camera and SB600 off to the left up high. Both flashes wore Lightspheres. The lighting in most of the group shots (and there were lots) came out nice and even.
