Sunsets Sydney Harbour #3

I ppd 2 more from the weekend.

Wanted to try and get the foreground detail, blown sky, does this work?

Number 2 is simply stunning, the dark blue sky, the dark foreground they balance each other, your eye is drawn to the centre, beautiful.

I love the centre third of the second image.

to me you have really nailed the exposure on this and it looks great.

the top and bottom thirds do nothing for me though.
for mine it woulld be good to get this exact shot in landscape format, covering the stuff which is currently in the third.

if your tripod mounted, in the first shot i would have taken two. One metered for the sky, the other the forground and just blended them in PS, the second i would have kept the portrait angle, but zoomed in a bit and cropped off the bottom and from where the bridge ends, possible leaving a bit of building there, but as there is no real interest just cut it.
That would leave the city sitting on the third of the picture, you would have interest all along the third and great coloured sky to top it off.

edit: one other thing, the first pic i may have been tempted to go and moves some of the twigs and crap laying on the sand. After another look it makes the foreground look messy.
