G'day,

I'm not experienced with portrait's (although I'd love to give it a go!) so I'll come from a different angle...

In the first, my eyes go to the bright highight in the TL corner, so I'd try burning that in a bit so it doesn't grab the viwers eye...

The second is a fantastic genuine happy moment, although I think there needs to be a catchlight in the eyes for some sparkle, you could perhaps add one in PP maybe? Terrific smile! :)

The third seems such a solemn moment, the lighting works well here and suits the image mood... Not sure about the third whether a portrait orientation might suit, as the crop seems a bit tight for me, but love the tight crop in the first two...

Love the short/narrow DOF in these... Which lens? EXIF says max F1.0??? Strewth...

Thank you very much mudder for your suggestions. Great feedback!
I have used a nikon 85mm f1.4 AIS for these.

I really like the first one, although I agree with Mudder about the eye, and on the second one too. It's a little bit dark on my monitor but such a great, spontaneous capture. I think you used window light as I can see a window or door in the bottom one in his eye. How old is your cousin?
