Hi,

here is a couple I took when colcam and stubbsy visited this week. As I mentioned in another thread, the flowers are really out in the reserve.

Doing macro work is not easy. A bit of a breeze and what you thought was in focus is now "art" :?

These were taken with my D70s, 70-300mmED with Nikon 6T closeup filter (thanks Mark), f10 and hand-held.

As this is a new type of photography for me, C&C appreciated.

cheers,

André

André

You've nailed it in #2 which is beautifully sharp. For me #1 is almost there, but I'd crop a touch more from the LHS.

Number 2

I agree with Stubbsy, André. I believe the flower is better. Both are nice pictures though. I also agree with you that macro photography is not easy. I haven't tried yet with my new camera because I don't have the appropriate lens for it, but some of the close-up pictures I took with my old Olympus were definitely a challenge.

Thanks,

I agree the first one does look better with the LH cropped.

Now to decide if I should just get some extension tubes or go all out and get a 105mm micro :? :? :?

Cheers,

André
