First three are of youth group, final is of sarah mcleod.

Hey, Youth Group were at ANU Bar Fri night right?

#1 - I like the flare effect

#2 - My pick out of the 4 . I think the pedal boxes in front distract slightly, maybe crop just in front of the knee a bit?

#3 - I like the angle, the burst of light behind and the rim light effect. The celing tiles are bit distracting though - give this a go

#4 - looks like you've caught a bit of veiling glare - I pulled this image into photoshop quickly and tried a brightness/contrast correction of bright -10, contrast +10 and it seemed to clean it up a bit - dunno though, give it a go on the original quality file

I think when you've got the 28-70 you'll be able to have a stack more control over the DoF.

Thanks for the tips daniel, will have to try out the lens blur, and i bloody hate that white ceiling at anu, always wrecks good photos.
