Hi there all. I've been interstate for a few weeks without my Nikon and mainly without internet access. I did take my daughter's little Casio camera and took a tour of the Cathedral in Bendigo last weekend. It is quite an amazing building. This image was 5 individual shots stitched in PS.

Ozimax, given the equipment you were working with, this is a good shot. It is well stiched and gives a feel for the size of the building..bet you wouyld like to do that one again with a DSLR..

Big V, thanks for the comments. I don't normally say this about my photos, but I really like the pano, it is as sharp as a tack even at full size.

The little Casio S600 does a fine job for those tourist moments when I don't have access to the SLR. Having said all this, yes I agree that it would have been nice to have a decent wide angle lens handy as the light was just spectacular.

Cheers,

Ozi

Just goes to prove, it’s not the gear but the owner of the finger and the eye of the beholder - great shot Ozi :)

I agree wholeheartedly with Chris here, Max. A ripper shot regardless of the gear. I love the distortion on the pillars and the exposure is spot on.

GIven your normal subject matter, I'm not so sure that there isn't a surfer paddling in the baptismal font...

max this is a nice shot given the equipment used.

the angles of the columns make it kinda freaky in appearance and that probably adds to its appeal.

well done

Steve

The perspective of this keeps making me expect Linda Blair to pop out and her head to spin around! For those of you (fortunately) not old enough, she was the girl in the Exorcist, well I think so... ummm, wasn't she?

Sadly, I'm well and truly old enough. And yes, Andrew, it was indeed Linda Blair.
