I never tire of astronomy shots.
I'd have given it a bit more space at the top, but stunning nonetheless. Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au

Even though I would like to I cant give it anymore space as that is the field of view through the scope without using a focal reducer..this means to take the full moon I have to mosiac or use a focal reducer...using the focal reucer reduces the resolution, so not desirable if I can help it.

When you get a chance, would you be able to get some shots of Jupiter and it's moons, and maybe Mars (if it's in the sky - not sure of timing atm). Would love to show Little Sheepie these areas up as close as this

Four and a half day old moon?
It's so cute and cuddly too. ![]() Lovely image, and great detail. It's ointeresting that you make mention of a focal reducer in your comments. While most of us look for teleconverters to increase our reach, here you are commenting on the reverse problem. The wonders of photography. ![]() g.

Gary, the focal reducers are normally an f6.3 or f3.3. They give a wider field of view and also serve to reduce the exposure time needed. You cant use them for visual though as they show too much vignetting near the edges but because the ccd chip is smaller than this, it is great for reduced resolution photography..They are expensive little critters, costing about 300 dollars each.
