The crow

I've concluded that taking photos of birds and wildlife (that fill the whole frame) with the 70mm kit lens is quite an effort! None the less this crow let me lay down on the rocks a few feet away from him to snap a few shots while he was distracted with a fresh kill. These involve being 2 parts photographer, 3 parts ninja :lol:

I took dozens but most didn't turn out because of how dark he was.

#1 is cool. You did well to get so close.

It's difficult to photograph a dark subject against a blue sky - the only hint I can suggest is to use spot metering. Even though the Nikon matrix system is excellent, there are some photographic situations that are just too extreme for matrix metering.
