As previously threatened...Balmain Cup photos
Posted: Wed Sep 06, 2006 8:33 pmIt's said that the Balmain Cup is Australia's oldest snowsports competition still in existence. Competitors are selected from five clubs based in Guthega and Perisher. It's a genuine "Open" competition..there are no age or sex divisons..A nine year old may be up there competing with someone in thier twenties. It's only the time which counts. There are four events..the skiers have the slalom, the grand slalom, and the cross country while the snowboarders have a GS. Some of the competitors have represented Australia internationally
