This year i have been to melbourne more than 10 times but have never had the chance to see the real beauty of victoria so i took a day trip along the great ocean road to see the 11 apostles

A nostalgic scene on the windy snake road
at the time i had my white balance set to 2800Kelvin, but i think the bluish tone works

at the 11 apostles. Shot with the 12-24dx with a polarizer, weird thing is i only saw 5
Image

the gorge, it was pretty overcast this time so i converted this one to a black and white and pumped up the contrast
Image

a moss patch and a brazillian female in the middle of nowhere, what wonder in the land of GOR

No.2 works very well for me. Nice perspective.

Hi Wendell - looks like really shocking conditions fo shooting!

I think you'll find that even before one fell down last year (?) there weren't twelve! They just liked the name of it I guess ;)

Wendell I like 2 and 3. The name 12 Apostles was dreamt up by a marketing person. At that time there wern't twelve, they just thought the name would work for marketing  The original name was the sow and piglets. Not quite as romantic

Wendellt, I also prefer 2 and 3. I love 2 because of the depth of field and the colours and 3 because it works really well in black and white and somehow it enhances the drama of the elements. Great shots!

Hi Wendell great shots and your style shows through. I especially like the detail and tone in the 'however many' apostles it may be slightly off horizon.

Do you use a PS action to put your name on the photo?

Hi Wendell,

I like your photos in this post and especially your model shots that you have been showing to us in other posts.
I really like the first three images - I'm not sure about the last one.
I feel that I cannot see enough of the person - I'd like to get a closer view.

Thanks for sharing,
CD
