Kempsey

Pics from a local gig on saturday, band from canberra called Kempsey.
i was using a friends 300d so the pics didnt turn out great lol, nah its because i didnt really know how it functioned so just put it on aperture priority and snapped away. fair bit of pp was done to make the reasonable... C&C more than welcome as always :)

hey nice photos, i really like the effect if you were going for that effect.

the third one is the pick of the lot for me.

Hey NJ I think the third is the better image, however your selection is very noticeable and detracts from the image. Perhaps a better way to do it is to unselect everything, blur the entire image, and then just use a soft history brush perhaps on a reduced opacity to get some of the detail back, if you need a hand in doing this just let me know :)

thanks owen, yeh i can see now, im on a different monitor as to the one i did it one, looks crap ay! i'll fix it up later, as long as i know, everything is cool

I like all three!
Especially the ones with the Thinline Tele ;)
I like it how, some of it is still (like the guitar, drums) and the rest like motioned blur! Very cool!

the guitar shots are much better than the ones of the drummer.

don't forget band gig shots don't need to be super sharp. just portray the sense of movement which you've done and everything will be sweet ;)

#1 for me. I like the colour treatment and the way the guitarist stands out well from the background. Very rock & roll :wink:

Nathan #1 and #3 have a great feel to them. Lovely sense of movement and great tones. :)
