No 2 works really well for me. There's just a hint of grain in this shot giving a good film feel. Also looks a little less posed and more natural. I'm seeing some great shots out of this shoot!

#2 is excellent Leigh - my only niggle would be to run white totally on the right of your subject :)

Leigh, I think #3 is a classic for Dee. I think it would look great cropped so just a little of the chair is shown a cut just inside of her right elbow. Cheers, Mick

Very nice work Leigh!!
I like Chris' suggestion of cropping to exlclude the bit of grey in #2, all in all though very easy to look at :)

Look forward to the colour versions!

I'll add my vote here for #2 and #3 in that order, but either crop or clone the rhs of #2 to make it even :)

The last one looks a little French ;)

First one has too much empty space that is not complementing the model. The second has just as much empty space, but it works a treat 'cos Dee is looking in that direction. It makes you wonder what is just out of the frame. I love the last one. How did you achieve that?

Leigh

I've found it incredibly difficult to comment on the images produced by the participants at the portrait workshop since they have all been both of a uniform high quality and in many ways similar.

BUT I can't let this group of quite different images pass without comment since I think #2 is a superb shot. Dee has a great natural expression and I love the way her legs are positioned relative to her body and the chair to so strongly anchor here in all that space. ANd speaking of space, all that white space to her left rounds the image out since that is where her gaze takes the viewer's eye. My only niggle is that I'd clean up the dark smear down the right as has already been mentioned.
