My Take on the Portraiture Workshop - Dee.

Dee is a friend of Leigh's from his art school, and was the only person at yesterday's workshop who actually earns a living from using a camera!

She is a compellingly beautiful young lady, and it was almost impossible to not get shots of her that were just wonderful to look at. Agtain, there has been no PP at all on any of these images; save for resizing they're straight out of the camera.

I think that a square crop on this would be great too.

This almost has a feel of evil to it

This one was a test shot. We had just changed the lighting setup and I just shot one off to see how much our exposure had changed. it's a little bit hot, but nothing that I couldn't fix in PP.

I'd also clone in the tip of her finger in PP to really bring this one up.

More of my images of Dee can be seen here.

Gary,

I think no. 2 is an absolute winner here, in lighting, composition and pose. I like it.

Gary, I like the relaxed look and smile in Dees face in #1 here.

WHile I like the expression and eyes in 2 I find the shadow of her hair is slightly distracting.

Gary - it’s not often that we see pics from you but when we do they are corkers :)

I'd like to echo Chris' remarks. Nice work Gary :)

Thanx all for your kind words.

The truth of the matter is that this was an easy gig. With models as good in front of the camera as these two ladies were, it was bloody hard to not get stunning images. And that is evident in the images that we're seeing, without exception, from each of the participants in this workshop.
