Simply excelent - focus and composition under those conditions can be very tricky - but you nailed it :up:

Thanks Nathan, Peter, Mic and Craig.

Craig - You are right about the focus. Once I switched to manual focus and got Kane (the human fame thrower) to stand in about the right spot, well this was the result. I have another 5 that prove your point of focus being hard to achieve. :D
Composition however was a little trickier. So I went a little wider and cropped these, not by much, but still cropped.

I'm liking the square crops of the flame twirling, what do you think?

I think square works well. The space around your second image here is great. This is what the first in the other series lacks (a bit tight up top) but I still prefer the pattern on that shot.

That last one makes me dead keen to pack my bags for the next moonfest up here at Brissy to capture more of these kinds of shots....

It's clearly the best shot of this kind I can recall ever seeing.
