I think this image would have looked better in colour. I'm guessing the very dark top is heavily polarised blue and as such works against the image in B & W for me, but would be quite strong in colour. As it is the top is just too dark. Sorry

Posted: Sun Sep 24, 2006 3:50 pmThe smooth gradient and high contrast on the memorial really work, although i cant help but think the upper section of the sky needs ot be a touch lighter, thats being very picky tho.

Not at all, the colour version of mine looks kinda the same.
For me the dark blue sky was the reason I tried the B&W on it
Shot it with the 24-120 without a CPL...
