Yesterday from Darling Harbour's "Chalk on the Walk" charity fund-raising event. It was a very sunny day but it didnt stop these dedicated artists from drawing their artwork for hours and hours on the ground.

Nice colours on the last image. The shadow going across on the first image is a bit distracting to me, and it's a shame I can't see what she's drawing as her hand is behind those pots. Otherwise well done!

WHile these are good images, I'd have also liked to see a little of the artist's work - even the last one makes me want to see it more up close. Did you take any of the chalk art itself?

Thanks Tim & Peter,

Peter,

I tried to walk up and get a full view of the arts, but they tend to come up in a very wierd shape because of the awkward angle and extreme wide angle. And the sun is right behind me, so walking too close will cast my own shadow on the artwork.

I would need a stair or stepping crate to get up on a straight down angle otherwise they dont look as they supposed to be...

A few tries without having my own shadow blocking the whole work.

I thought it may have been a big ask. That said - the last shot here is brilliant. Fantastic colour and great use of DOF.

Love that last shot, its a standout! Was the artist aboriginal, it definitely appears influenced by aboriginal art.

Agreed, the last shot is terrific. Only improvement I feel would be to crop the brown horizontal line.

Cheers
