Spring hits, Pollen fly

Spring is all over the place, and all the plants/flowers are spreading their pollens around.

This time playing with the reversed lens: Amazingly cheap and sharp setup, you can even see the pollen on the petals (those little white/black dots).

This was a hard one to get a spot-on exposure

Number 2 is my pick. Shows the intricate details of the flower and its different colours nicely, though I appreciate that it must've been hard to get the right focus/exposure on the white flower!

Pollen is my enemy (I'm allergic)!

Tim, I know what you mean, I'm sitting at home today on the asthma puffer trying to ward off the effects of hayfever on the bronchial tubes! Drat it!

Thanks Yi-P for the pollen shots.

You have here three very nice shots, all of them very good in detail, colours, and sharpness. Perhaps the second picture is a bit more in focus. You should be very happy with yourself Yi-P.

Sorry, Im no expert in flowers or botanical stuffs, so I have absolutely no clue what is the name of this one. Its just a very small flower (about 2cm wide) with 5 petals, yellow in the centre and colours around it....

Maybe somebody else can help you out on this.

They be VIOLA tricolor 'Hortensis'... or more commonly known as pansies :D
