Not your usual shot with a dedicated macro lens but I'm just trying some different things with the Tamron 90mm to see what it's capable of. C&C welcome.

Good DOF...but I would have liked to see a little more of the person in the frame in order to see what he is doing...I think he is climbing..but its hard to tell...
I do like the shot though.

Thanks Sue - it's a mini climbing wall at a local park. My daughter is into anything that involves physicality and adrenalin. She's an ex-gymnast and now springboard and platform diver so the little bugger is strong and has no fear. I think we'll be off to Rocksports these school holidays so I can get her into a harness and get some chalk under her fingernails..

Sorry, if I didn't read the replies, I would still think that she was lying down at the beach building a yellow-sand-sand-castle. However, the shallow depth of field really draws attention to the grip of the hand!

Amazing how we get ourselves into a mindset and can't be budged from it! I would never have seen the possibility of that interpretation Adam - thanks!

Simon, I like it, had me thinking for a second (but having seen man made climbing walls helped). I am glad whomevers hand that was had their nails trimmed, that lens shows some detail

Thanks Glen. It's Emily, my 13yr-old daughter. You've probably seen her before, or part of her - it's her "Eye" that I submitted for the Fred Hollows exhibit gallery.
