Quadtone black & whitesI've never played with Photoshop's Duotone mode before so I decided to have go. The images below are all quadtone conversions using the PS quadtone profiles as a starting point and some curve and colour tweaking by me to create some new quadtones. It's an interesting technique. As can be seen you can get quite contrasty images like the first r lovely soft ones like the remainder here. Obviously I have a lot to learn since this is my first attempt, but I think these show promise.

Nice. A new tool in the toolbox to play with. By the way, those particular tones were designed by a master print maker hired by ADOBE. It's curious that they don't advertise the fact a little louder. Try printing some of those on EPSON archival matt paper and you will be stunned by their beauty. Regards

Matt, Willy thank you
I should mention that it was a discussion at the weekend that prompted me to play with the duotone feature in the first place. Thanks Matt. Peter

lovely work! I really like working with adobe's quadtones - they come out really well. I usually pump the tones with stronger hues but these subtle tones are lovely.
