what a great example of a picture leading you in, great shot only small critisism i have is that it may have worked a touch better with a lower view point so the path seems closer at the bottom of the pic......

Awesome

great pic!
such a simple background, combined with the path leads your eyes straight to the boathouse

Ahh you mean like crouch down and take it again? I suppose that would make the path seem longer? I will have to go back and try that again. Might have to wait awhile for a perfect day.

Matty

You could even lie flat on your stomach. I often do it to get the shot. One little point is that the image also seems very blue. Maybe warm it up a little in PP.

Very nice Matty. I would agree with the lower vantage point.

Nice photo, just a suggestion, try cropping the bottom off where the shallow water begins and see what you think. I tried it by scrolling on the screen and I like it.

That's a great shot Matty. I concur with Stubbsy, lie on the path to get the shot from an even lower angle. Another suggestion: it looks like you've used a polariser which is great to give the sky a dark blue dramatic effect, but you've got so much blue in the shot already. Try it without the polariser to tame the bleu a bit.

Cheers
John

Nice shot! I agree that it may work even better if taken from a lower perspective.

love the shot its a great location along the River Swan with the sole boathouse perched out on the water.

Here is one I took last year, the path looks like it is floating, and its very blue

Cool capture MattyO.
I agree this shot would look cool shot from a lower perspective.
Maybe it would look better cropped as a portrait view so as to cut out the distractions on the opposite bank. This may also increase the feeling of isolation.
Well done.
Cheers, Mick :) :) :)
