96 Nissan Pulsar LX

Inspired by the visual style of Top Gear, I took my own car out for a photo shoot couple of weeks back. 1996 Nissan Pulsars don't usually get this sort of treatment (I don't think they got it when they were new!), but I think it was worth it :D . (I used my Sigma 10-20mm since I figured the 'natural' body shape of the Pulsar could probably do with a bit of augmentation).

Naturally, there was massive PPing, curves, saturation, selective desaturation. Not as neat as I'd like in retrospect, but I don't have time to re-do that now.

Anyway, comments welcome! (Also, offers taken for the car... as long as they're over $50K - she's a work of art, people!!!)

Like the treatment, my two comments would be the shade is distracting in 1 and pick somewhere more level in 2. You are right, I doubt they got such treatment ever.

i think a lot of the time on top gear they desturate a lot of the image particularly the sky and then make the tops of the sky darker like with the burn tool.
i think the sky in the 1st shot is just a bit too blue, but i realise that is what you were aiming for, the second shot came out great though :)

Fantastic stuff, NJ - THAT'S Top Gear style! The vignetting in addition to the very dark sky. Love it. Love the car. I should totally buy.... another one! (and thanks to their depreciation over the last ten years, just about anybody could afford to buy several :D )

Wow - I love TopGear, and you've really captured the 'look' that they use. Very nicely done mate :)

Hey mate, sorry to hijack your thread but you totally inspired me to try the same thing today with my car, these were my results:

This one is saturated in colour:

Desaturated with vignetting:
