Native bee
Posted: Sun Oct 01, 2006 7:35 pmI mucked up my last bee shot with too small an aperture (f32) - making the background too sharp and distracting. This time, I tried to isolate this native bee (Trigona?) by only going as far as f8. Now the DOF is too shallow; the optimum is obviously somewhere around f16..
Handheld with a breeze didn't help either. These little guys are so cute. I had several sitting on my hand for a while but they weren't so cooperative when the camera was around.
