Lotus Exige

Had the opportunity to go for a ride with my friend tonight who happens to own a Lotus Exige (race bred Elise for those that don't know). It was good fun and I took my camera with me to take some shots on location. Thoughts would be appreciated. Sadly most of these shots were taken on ISO800 so that they could be handheld. Noise wasn't too bad though.

Great shots by the way..I'm not sure what I enjoyed the most...the car or the scenery...:)

Rainey - I agree with Bindii here, the noise is negligable. Some great shots here.

One beautiful car and great shots. I had the opportunity to buy an Elise or a Merc - I chose the Merc, but always dreamed I was in the Elise

Awesome car, and nice pics too:) I agree with the above that noise is not at all an issue with these.

Nice work, the noise isn't bad here. Did your friend sell his 340R?

Great shots Rainey. Wish I could have heard the "noise" from that beaut little car.
Unfortunately I'm not quite supple enough to get in and out of one of those beauties on a regular basis.
Lovely scenery too. I'll have to get down that way again. Would be get to tour in my superb handling campervan
Cheers, Mick :) :) :)

Thanks everyone! :)

Glen, he did a trade (of the 340R) with cash adjustment for the Exige. He needed a roof so he could drive it more often. Same engine, basically very similar car apart from the 340 = 600kg, Exige = 800kg. So being slightly heavier its not far from the mark.

Your pictures really capture the beauty of the car's body.

2 & 3 are great!!!

The colour of the car really suits the cool, drab colours of the image. The first one suffers from the bright spot in the clouds.

Your mate must be happy with them!

Awesome shots there mate, I really like the location you took these shots. Its not often you see a car like that there.

It must be tough to have to choose between cars like those. I think hte exige is much prettier tho.

They're very nice shots - nice angles, nice light, nice composition - but if I had to offer a criticism (and I assume that's what you're here for ;) ), it would be the turn on the front wheels. With a car that looks like it's going fast even when standing still, I feel like the wheels should be turned towards the road (I like having the wheels turned - it gives that movement/energy) rather than off road.

Just one man's opinion, and note that the criticism offered is prefixed by my overall impression - very nice shots! :D

Cheers,
