The "aaaaaahhh" factor

Its spring time and duckling time! The mother Pacific black duck showed up with nine ducklings and esconced themselves in our neighbour's pool. To enable the little ones to get out of the pool, he put down a ramp. It didn't take long for these little ones to get the hang of it.

Is that a heated pool Sheila? Duck soup perchance? :)

Great capture. I love it!

Ah yes...very cute.

Until you have to spend weeks rebalancing your chemicals from all the 'additional material' in your poolwater!

Thanks all. I know its a problem with duck poo in pools but our neighbours are quite stoic about it. Its something that you learn to live with living 750 metres from Careel Bay. I forbade my husband, bless him, to feed the ducks on our verandah as one day I came home to find two of them sitting in our lounge room, with the resultant mess on the floor :x . They had come through the cat flap!

Cheers

Cheeky little buggers! I love 'em but don't let them in the pool. A bit of Duck-Off or similar in the water works a treat and they don't come back for years.

My apologies too, Sheila, for not saying how much I loved your shot. A few stray shadows but it's a ripper nonetheless.
