Hey Rel,
Nice shot! It shows the peaceful nature that cats have....before it leaps over the rails and kills some poor bird ![]() Did you have your camera with you at the time or did you have to go and grab it? My cat would never sit still enough for me to catch a shot like this. And just to annoy me, he would probably move just as I was about to take the shot and then look at me as if it wasn't planned. Well done, L
Thanks Alex, Ladybird, & YiP
![]() I was just on my way to make a coffee, and looked out the front door to see this - grabbed my camera (she's used to me doing that), laid on the floor in the middle of the hallway and took the shot ![]() ![]() I realise that it is a bit of a shit of a composition, but she was sitting on the step down, so had to do with what I had ![]() ![]() Hugs all Rel ps - Ladybird - good to see you here ![]() Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships! -Ansel Adams

Rel,
This will look even better (IMHO) if you crop it square. Kill the free space aboive her head, and tell me what you think. g.

Exactly what I said on the other forum Gary - as well as cloning out that little orange reflection in the foreground Simon

Hmmm ... to crop, or to clone? That is the question. ![]() g.

sorry I like the original. the nice bokeh gives a sense of space to the image, the crop looks crammed in.
Another crop option would be as a landscape from the top of the ears, down as far as you can in a normal 6x4 ratio, or go for a manual crop. D3 | 18-200VR | 50:1.4 | 28:2.8 | 35-70 2.8 | 12-24 f4

Hey Rel, I'd have to agree with Justin, although I originally thought there may be too much space above the head, the cropped version loses something.
Patrick, yes.
Or maybe clone in a mouse on the left? Rel, magic. g.
