Taken late this afternoon, with the golden rays of a setting sun streaming through the rails on the stairs

Hey Rel,

Nice shot! It shows the peaceful nature that cats have....before it leaps over the rails and kills some poor bird .

Did you have your camera with you at the time or did you have to go and grab it? My cat would never sit still enough for me to catch a shot like this. And just to annoy me, he would probably move just as I was about to take the shot and then look at me as if it wasn't planned.

I was just on my way to make a coffee, and looked out the front door to see this - grabbed my camera (she's used to me doing that), laid on the floor in the middle of the hallway and took the shot She was too busy looking at the little dog that lives next door to take any notice of me

I realise that it is a bit of a shit of a composition, but she was sitting on the step down, so had to do with what I had .. but it'll do

Exactly what I said on the other forum Gary - as well as cloning out that little orange reflection in the foreground

sorry I like the original. the nice bokeh gives a sense of space to the image, the crop looks crammed in.

Another crop option would be as a landscape from the top of the ears, down as far as you can in a normal 6x4 ratio, or go for a manual crop.

Great shot, although I would recommend cloning a dog in place of the cat (just kidding)

I'd have to agree with Justin, although I originally thought there may be too much space above the head, the cropped version loses something.
