and I wouldn't have her any other way. A nothing shot really but I was just playing with the 50mm1.4 and LS/Dome and I just had to post another photo. Emily was NOT happy about being disturbed with great flashes of light but I love the softness the LS gives. Your thoughts welcomed.

Magic! Lighting is supurb! This image would also work well in B&W.

Simon, great shot - I reckon it would look great with the contrast bumped up a bit on the B&W version.

Another way to get a great response from an avid reader is to ask every minute or so "what are you reading".

Or, worse, try to look over their shoulder...!

Thanks Resch. I'd like a more contrasting background as well - we have sandy coloured walls in our house and they look really ..blah.. when it comes to skin tones and light/blonde hair against them.

Hey Simon,

I think the colour version is much better than the others. Has a sense of warmth and I feel the others are a little cold.

Simon,

B&W for me. Maybe add a touch of grain ?

Try pumping up the red saturation on the colour version (all the way, 80-90%) then desaturating - or if you don't like that try with green.

Picasa filtered b&w has a good conversion
