These shots were all taken on the f90x


This first one was of an illy branded cafe that was shut - it was taken through the window. They didn't sell illy cups (I like illy cups)



This one is a dude on a bike - I wanted to practice the panning technique well explained on this site, however, this was the only shot I took of this dude.



This last shot was one of the first I took with the new macro filters.



I guess C&C is welcome, [edit] stuff it, C&C is very welcome. A photo is a photo is a photo - on film or CF, I want as much critical feedback as possible to help me improve the ratio of shot/keeper.

I find the first image quite striking. I think the contrast and rich colour gets my attention. I like it.
Sorry, but the second one doesn't do much for me. The cyclist looks good, but the background is too distracting for me. I'm no expert, but I think if the background was only slightly blurred (faster shutter speed?) it may be easier on the eye.
I'm not sure about the third one. I like it, but at the same time I don't, but can't quite put my finger on why. (I think my eye is looking for the piece of fruit in the centre of the shot to be in slightly sharper focus, but am not sure.)

Anyway, my two cents worth. I'm sure someone else with more of a clue than me will give you more informed feedback....

Thanks for the feedback, Nat - Originally, I had asked one of the guys at the Rundle St illy branded cafe (up the east end) if I could take photos and he said no due to franchise issues.

I've got a couple of Illy cans here... maybe I should use this as inspiration (to make another cup? as a photo idea? )
