Was a hot day in Newcastle on Saturday - thanks to Stubbsy, though, it was an enjoyable one :)

Along with some sunset shots which you'll probably see as the week progresses, I snapped these of some kids cooling off:

Nicely taken Leon. I can feel the heat in the images.

The third one looks like a belly-flop about to happen :)

Stand by for a long hot summer too and more opportunity to try and cool down.

Something a bit different from you and excellent pictures. Hope you got to empty that cellar of Stubbys!

Leon,

Newcastle is always a great place, isn't it?

Love the last one, great timing and great light.

Cheers,

André

As well as that great last shot I also like the golden tones and nice silhouette in the second image.

Water and the sunset makes a divine pair in this series with the lovely golden tones on offer and highlighting in the water, together with the sillhouettes. Nicely preempted belly-flop capture too =)

I was about to say 'that last shot is a corker' when I see that someone made that exact same comment !!!

But that last shot is a corker - incredible ! Just the right lighting, and way the pier draws your eye out to the kid jumping into the water - fantastic !

Cheers

Justin

Thanks guys - I liked the last one when I was reviewing my shots, but didn't think it was as good as you've now told me :) :) :)

I am wondering however if it would benefit from a crop putting the horizon about midway (yeah, I know - against all the rules ;) )?

Last one reminds of famous jetty jumping at Coffs which happens regularly all summer, nice work.
