The model is my wife so please go easy with the personal comments.
We have given a lot of though to sharing this and we do so for C & C of the photography and B&W conversion.
This is method I used for B & W conversionhere. Thanks for that Matt. K.

B & W NudeI haven't posted anything here for a while and I thought it time to share.

Mark,
Very brave to post a nude of your wife. The B&W conversion is nice, with good contrast and tones. There is a little bit of blown highlights under her chin, which could be dulled down a little. The pose lets the pic down a little. You can see right up your wifes nose, and the skin under the chin and on the neck is folded in creases. I like the DOF though, having the nipple blurred and face in focus is great. Well done. ![]() 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

Hi Raskill,
Cheers for the Critique. I think in this case it is my wife who is brave for allowing me to post the pic. The blown highlights are most probably due to the on camera flash being used for extra light. They aren't that bad in the original RAW shot but tweeking the contrast seemed to bring them out a bit more. Thanks for the ideas regards the pose. Wil take them into account if I'm allowed a re-shoot. Glad you liked the DOF as that was the main reason I liked this shot too. Thanks again. ![]() Mark

Mark - I won’t comment on PP but more on the pose. The arm is posed awkwardly and, as already mentioned, the creasing factor. My suggestion would be to get some books on nude modelling and look at some ideas posed by other models. You can always soften the photo to give a more creamy effect etc. Due kudos to your wife for the posting of this photo.

Hi Mark,
I think the lighting is a little hot in the areas of the arm and chest. The pose looks very akward and creates creases on the model (neck). The elbow is presented in an unusual manner / angle to the camera. I reckon that it is great that you are able to post this sort of shot of your wife and I'm sure we'll see excellent results from you in the future as you experiment a little more. If this is the type of photography you'd like to get into, I'd second the comment regards to books and poses. Well done... great try. Tony All I know, is that I don't know enough.....
