I am soooo happy with my 80-200 / 2.8 (dispite its attraction to internal dust). Love the smooth bokeh, have a look at this at 200mm, 6.3. The bushes were about 4 meters behind the car!!!

Sure nice bokeh..

But the pic, she looks like she is sleeping in the car to me...

With that lens you can open it up further down to f/4 for even better bokeh. And so as keeping the subject further away from the background and closer to the lens will improve background softness dramatically.
