I know it appeared on this forum a few times but cannot remember having seen this angle on this forum. Anyway, I thought I'd share.

Gerard,

That is beautiful.

Could you try cropping a little off the bottom though? Remove obout 75% of the grass in the foreground, and see what you think.

Gerard, I agree, great shot. I think that a little (emphasis on little) crop on the left and bottom would improve it.

I agree with both comments. I was limited in the reach as I was using the 28-70 ( could not take the 70-200 along on the plane because of weight restrictions  ). Moving closer, I would have scared the sheep and got in the field of another photograph.
Thanks,
Gerard

I agree..

I agree with the cropping, but ensure the main subject is centered. It is a very nice picture with an unusual angle, for normally you see the floods and Saint Mitchel in the distance.

There are 2 crops I think may make this shot look better.

First try would be a square crop - cut off the 2 ugly sheep (no offence intended to the sheep) on the right hand side, cut all on the left from just behind the sheep on the left and remove the the majority of the grass in the foreground.

Second crop - and hey I like scenery this way sometimes - is a portrait crop. Cut the from the inner side of the sheep on the left and on the other side cut just inner side of the larger sheep in the foreground.

Cheers, Mick :) :) :)

Very cool photo. Agree with others that two sheep on the right side should be cloned and some grass from the bottom mowed.
