At last, I thought I should just get this over and done with and post some shots.
Of course C & C welcome, especially as I'm a newbie and need all the help I can get. Honesty is appreciated....and no offence will be taken.
Cheers,
L

Second one for me.
Neither the first not the last do a whole lot for me, I'm afraid.
Still, a great first photo post.

The diversity of appeal - I like both #1 and #2 - the composition is excellent, I like the subject and the treatment suites the shots

I really like the first two, I think you could also add some noise to give them the old photo look. But still they are great shots well done.

the treatment is definately better than the colour, i quite like the first two, and i think the idea of adding some noise might work well also.
thanks

Nice work Ladybird and it was worth the wait. A great effort considering that only a few short weeks ago you didn't own a DSLR and had never laid eyes on Photoshop. Subject choice and composition-wise, you've got a great eye for a good image so I'm sure we're all going to see some excellent work from you as you develop your technique.

second one is good composition. Do you think adding a human element would have improved these photos?
Well done espeically if you have only used a DSLR + photoshop for a few months!!

Nice shots, LB. I, too, like the 1st two. Pity that you lost a little of the roof in the first shot.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Especially with the suggestions on what else I could do - some of which I had not thought of.
Surenj, I like the idea of adding a human element. Getting my dad out there I think would have added nicely to the old day feel I was getting at - him in his akubra and workwear with his dodgy farmers' back.
Thanks again!
