Stubbsy,

I think I prefer part 2 of HVG, particularly image #3.

#1 is great! It'd be a good PJ shot if you had a small kid in front of the book looking up like he/she was reading :D

Peter - I too prefer this series - #1 and #3 take the cake...excellent work and are not (to my eyes/monitor) over sharpened this time around :)

Daniel, Geoff Thanks for your comments.

As for the sharpening. These were only minimally sharpened now that I've taken on board Matt K's valuable criticisms.

Hi Peter - You're getting better images each time you visit these gardens. One of these days I'll join you for a visit :)

As for these particular pictures...

1. You have cut off one of the corners of the book - other than this, this is a great pic :)

2. Seems a little flat on my screen. Also, try cropping just a little more sky out of the picture, to just above the tree line. (just a suggestion)

3. This, too, could be interesting with a little less sky - see what you think, as I know we don't always agree ;)

4. Probably the best I've seen of this view from you, although I'm not too keen on the horizon. I know it's a tuff spot to get the look right though :)

Mind if I ask what lens you used for these shots? ;) :P

Leon, Vince thanks for your comments

As for the chopped top of the book - it was to hide a bad cloning job on the RHS where there (was) an archway above the rhs of the book
