Had some spare time today so wandered into the best cricket ground in the world and took some snaps, last one is a single shot, just cropped out a bit of grass and sky, although they are all cropped, just don't have enough focal length.

What were you doing at the SCG?

Seriously, some great action shots here. What lens may I ask?

I honestly thought the redbacks and the bushrangers were basketball teams till i opened this thread . Learn something new everyday

#3 is a standout for me . Really is crying out for a caption .

Shaunus,

I love the Adl Oval, except for the fact that it's only 8.26 metres wide!! Any old edge goes for six on the square, makes for big scores tho! How about SA v NSW Shefield Shield final this year? At SCG of course... :D

cricketfan says: good action shots of my favourite sport! You've recorded the peak action moments as well as a nice shot of the Adelaide Oval.

My only comment is that I wondered whether you were operating at full aperture in #1 - the background elements are fairly distracting, and it may have been better if you could have thrown them out of focus.

Hey, some good shots there. #3 is pretty cool too. The expression on the fielders face is priceless. Just goes to show the camera can capture what the eye can miss.
