Ive been a slacker lately and haven't posted much. I thought this was interesting. The smoke from the Blue Mountains fire on Sunday drifted my way around sunset. i can honestly say I haven't seen the sun so red!
Cheers Jethro

Very moody, I saw the sun like this was car pooling so couldn't ask to stop and take a few piccies, glad someone else did!

Great image Jethro. The one good thing about bush fires is the eerie sunsets you can get with all those suspended particles in the air.

That looks amazing
When the smoke covers the sun, it's nice to take photographs, but I've never seen it so red. And I'm always tempted to look at the sun (it will probably burn my eyes out!)

That looks very cool...something I certainly haven't seen before in a colour like that!
Edited - the black lines at the top of the image, that extend around the top, is that a tree branch? Just curious

reminds me of the ash wednesday fires in the adelaide hills in 1983. Mt Barker was not a great place to live that year...

This is easily the most jaw-dropping image I've seen here in quite some time. Big kudos! If I had something to say then this would be PoW.
Cheers
Steffen.

hehe - reminds me of the same time, but in NZ! The sunsets then were awesome - amazing that something so far away had such an impact!

Thanks for all the comments guys. This was a challenging shot as most of the early shots left the sun white. I had to turn the camera inside out to get the result I was looking at. No PP work was done at all.
Im glad you all liked it.
Cheers
Jethro

Sensational Jethro, very moody and a fantastic colour with no PPing. Brilliant!
