Hey guys, i have more macro stuff to show you all.
i have been playing around by holding my 50mm 1.8 reversed in front of my kit lens and getting really close to stuff. So much better than close up filters!
i want to get the adapter so that i don't have to constantly hold it there though.
please let me know what you think.

thanks for the comments guys!

yeah, craig this is a great set up. because im still using the kit lens attached to the camera i can still auto focus and set the aperture through the camera, where as with the reversing rings that attach straight to the camera, you lose all automatic settings.

These look impressive ,especially considering how you achieved the effect . What did you use as a light source ? The exposure looks pretty good .That first shot looks great .

heya, yeh i set it to 55, at 18 there was A LOT of vignetting, i also set the focus to infinity to get rid of the vignetting as well. and yeh, just held the 50 in front with one hand, and the index finger of my right hand in the zoom ring so i didnt push it back towards 18 which is annoying. its not exactly the fastest method around, but it works a treat!

the first shot was just natural lighting from the sun, just got down really low and shot it from the side. the last three were lit by my flueroescent desk lamp which i moved to be very close to the subjects and i just put the pen on a white piece of paper.

thanks for the comments guys :)
