#1 is really very good. I know these sort of setups are a little trite, but this really works for me.

The shadows on Santa are a bit harsh.

Daniel, santa was taken at around 5.30 in the arvo, so yep need to work on that.
The moon pic requires you to wait till the moon is near full, gives you the flat bottom that makes it look a little more convincing but you only get a couple of days each month to make it work...

Love the composition and execution of the moon shot, the lighting/shadows in the santa pic give it a slight sinister look :) and tenderness captures the moment

:D I was thinking the same thing. Not a very photogenic subject :(
