Took these with an off camera SB600 bouncing off the wall and roof, and with my 50mm f/1.8.

Both my wife and I like the first one. The blooms take a good proportion of the image. This would be our pick (no pun intended :) )

The second doesn't do a huge amount for me ... I think the scraggy leaves take the focus away from the bloom (although the bloom is nice and sharp).

My wife and I are divided on the third. The flower itself looks a bit scrappy, but the background is pretty clean. Your eyes go straight to the bloom.

My wife and both like the last one also (although not as much as the first).

Good photos overall though.

Certainly #1 and #4 - for added depth try spraying with water  :)

1 and 4 with out a doubt, the reflection adds so much. 2 and 3 just look like record shots compared to 1 and 4

#1 + #4 for me as well :)

You may try blowing up the exposure by a little bit on the high key side, with a few spray of water can look cool as suggested by Chris.

Matty,

that PP really makes the first image stand out even more.

Well done

When i think roses in a bath i think Mena Suvari . Anyhoo .I digress. I really like the first one ,the reflection looks neat but for me in your reprocess on it you pushed it to far (Only just ) . Just my opinion .

#1 and #4 for me. I don't mind the blown-out white on the re-PP'd image, but I find the over-contrastiness of it distracting.

I really like this set, love the creative use of the bathtub. The first one I like the most, especially the corrected version. Great job.
