Downhill bike craziness :)

Here are some pics from Saturday's practise runs. Now the fun begins for the next few months :D

Spent a long time cleaning up the dust in all my camera gear after I got home.

Very good for your practice shots. Some serious looking terrain those guys are riding. You have captured the impending painfulness of it very well.

Thanks guys.

The photos were taken at Long Gully, near Healesville in Victoria.

Would you believe the photos were taken with just the kit lens (18-70)? :) I lugged my 80-200 as well but in the end gave up trying to use it for the guys on the bikes. It's easier to pan and control with a mid-tele.

A big lesson learnt over the day is not to lug along stuff you're not going to need or use :)
