Went to a Car Hill climb here on the weekend as weather was not the best but here is a few of the many i took and these are the not how to drive shots.PS: sorry for the watermark as they will pinch anything nowdays.

Not a good way to treat an Alfa.

Great shots, where was the hillclimb? Poor Alfa, been there, done that!

John, great images. I love the casual attitude of the marshall in the first one.

Love the smoke you caught from the locked wheels on the Alfa. Great image but I assume the owner didn't buy an A3 for his office wall? Maybe his mates will to rib him or for their magazine, it is a great action photo.

Great series of images, and in the case of the Alfa, the two shots show the extent of the energy expended in this incident. Have a look at how far the concrete bollard has been moved by the impact.

The car itself seems to be a fake in some respects: I don't believe that the GTA nomenclature was ever used on that body by the factory. GT, GTV, and GTV6 were all kosher, but I don;t think that GTA was used on a 116.

Maybe a marketing exercise? GTA's were originally a factory designator for higher performance GTs, having even further upgraded suspension, even better breathing and tuning, and a lightened body.

Garry, i dont know much about these cars but in the book it says it is a 1976 GTA.

These are just a couple as i seen it sliding and well rattled of a heap of shots of it hitting, same as with the Datsun.

Chris, it was held here at Mount Gambier and near The Blue Lake here and used the road from the bottom of the Valley Lakes towards the top.
