The car itself seems to be a fake in some respects: I don't believe that the GTA nomenclature was ever used on that body by the factory. GT, GTV, and GTV6 were all kosher, but I don;t think that GTA was used on a 116.
Maybe a marketing exercise? GTA's were originally a factory designator for higher performance GTs, having even further upgraded suspension, even better breathing and tuning, and a lightened body.
Garry, i dont know much about these cars but in the book it says it is a 1976 GTA.
These are just a couple as i seen it sliding and well rattled of a heap of shots of it hitting, same as with the Datsun.
