Hi, my name is James, just bought a mates 300D, and he reccommended this forum to me, I still haven't received it yet, but heres a shot I took earlier

Image

Controlled burn of a pile of rubbish by the Kangarilla CFS brigade on private property. Pile was exceptionally dry and caught some younger members by surprise when this shot was taken. Taken on an Olympus ujm400 PnS.

Suggestions? i didn't have a tripod, so I leant on the 4wd- hence the antennas in the foreground.

Good to see you here Ferrit, I will post the camera soon. :-)

Suggestions? Use a DSLR :P

I love the headlight glow on the backs of the fireys, and the way the stream of water is captured. Looks good. And I won't comment on the fire, because I have a hard time getting good shots of flames. :)

That almost sounds like you just admitted to flames being arousing for you!

Its really hard to get good shots of flame- its intensity and location change moment by moment.

and the other suggestion has been noted and acted upon...
