Kangaroo Valley - Dawn Fog

I got up bright and very early to venture on a day of shooting landscapes and this was my first stop of the day. It's a lookout over Kangaroo Valley, southwest of Wollongong in NSW. The sun had just popped over the horizon and the fog was still settled.

Details: Nikon D2H and Simga 12-24. Saturation and contrast adjustments in PSCS.
I approached each of the PP with an idea and got close enough to the colour i wanted. Each image was taken at slightly different angle.

Surreal shots. I prefer the colours and framing of the second.

Steve

Great image

I prefer the composition of the first (less stray tree at the edges) and the slightly warmer tones.

Steve,

love the colours in the first. Well worth getting up there for the sunrise.

Cheers,

André

Very nice.. though almost too much fog.

Are you going to show us the shots you took during the rest of the day??

Unfortunately the rest of the day was crap. Too much contrast coupled with the D2H not being a good landscape camera. :(

Good job Steve, it's nice over there for photos. I've wanted to capture that fog too, but alas I am too lazy :)
