A big thank you goes to Bruce (OzBeaches) and Luke for providing the facilities and organising the show. Anthony was a great instructor and absolutely tireless and full of energy with so much knowledge! It was a great fun day!! It was nice meeting everyone who I haven't met before and catching up with those I know.
Thank you also to all the models - they were great.

I think this event was a big success. Here are a few shots from me for critique. Was her name Kylie?

Erks just got home (not from workshop...had other stuff after the workshop) and will post images when I get the chance to.

Have to offer a tremendous thank you to Anthony - for his infinite energy poured into today's inspiring and enlightening words of wisdom and advise - and Bruce and Luke for allowing us to come to their place to basically trash it with a whole heap of camera equipment.

Very big kudos to the 4 models Kylie, Jordan, Laura and Kelly who were very patient and encouraging to the photographers.

It was great to meet a few new faces as well as the guys I know :)

Alex, just a bit of critique - The first photo the WB looks a tad warm. I'll take the fall for the harsher light 'cos it was my dumb idea to just light her from one side :P

The second photo is just spot on :)

Thanks Wayne and Leigh.

Wayne - I have to thank you, in fact. I think No. 1 is my pick out of the 3 and I like the harsh lighting and high contrast result it created.

Will process more tonight.

Cheers
Alex

I haven't had a chance to get the images out of my camera yet, but I wanted to thank Anthony for his excellent teachings and wisdom and to also thank Bruce and Luke for putting the workshop on and a special big thanks to our 4 models Kylie, Jordan, kelly and Laura.

I think everyone had a great day and oh so much wisdom from Anthony. I know where to come for any questions about light from now on

If anyone get's a chance to attend any future workshop given by Anthony (Antsl), I would highly recommend it.

Once again, thanks to all and it was great meeting a whole lot of people I've talked to around here for so long.

Cheers
John

Hi all,

Pleased to hear everyone enjoyed themselves on Sunday; thanks for the chance to put a few faces to the user names! As I mentioned through the day, the idea was to get everyone thinking about how light works and how we can use it rather than coming out of it with dozens of brilliant photos... the old teaching a person to fish routine. I hope that by looking back through the images from the day that we can pull out a few ideas and apply them to other photographs in the future.... Like photography as a whole, lighting is something that you need to keep aware of, keep practising and keep on exploring. There are countless different ways you can light a subject, some of them are better than others and as you learn more options you will become better understanding the process and putting it all together!

Thanks again to Bruce and Luke for making their home available and also to our models... Kylie, Jordan, Laura and Kelly! I hope the guys get you a few good images for yourselves from the event!

Cheers for now, Ants

Thanks Antsl for a very informative day, I've got all inspired after playing with the studio lights and have managed to track down a couple I can hve on permanent loan- Laura's in trouble now! It's amazing what a difference a bit of thought and "seeing" not just "looking" can achieve.

Thanks also to Bruce and Luke for the use of their "studio" and for a bite to eat, the plan was for Laura and Kelley to bring something for me but they forgot(!) so the vegeburger was very much appreciated.

Thanks also to Kylie, Jordan,Laura and Kelley for coming along and being pushed around, I think we enjoyed the view much more than if we'd had to use one another...
