Natural ambient lighting

Natural ambient lighting with strobe pointed at the wall to blow it out. I didn't position the strobe well enough as you can see a bit of fall out towards the bottom of the pic.

I like these the most out of your workshop shots (especially the 2nd). I wouldn't worry too much about the light fall off in the second; in fact another option you could have tried if you had a grid available would be to put just a spot of light behind the model so it tapers off in a circle - that would've been cool!

Hi Mic,

This workshop was to make a start on the basics of seeing the light, and was a great start. Adding the dimension of nudity would have shifted the focus, and also heightens the degree of difficulty, as the light behaves differently on skin to clothing.

Hi,

With regards to blown out rear walls / back drops due to limited number of mono blocks and space available all my studio work is like this. In my work flow for the limited number of PS pics I would provide a model it's a 2 minute fix in PS. For me it's best to work like this based on the assets available.

Great stuff, keep at it...
